ENDING FRAME

The Business Director from Mekong Communication agency urgently approach me to create an important teaser for Vinfast upcoming limited version of their VF8 Lux car. The goal is to deliver the video within 3 days.I have to team up with another 3D designer and an editor to quickly wrap this project up within 72 hours. That was a tough challenge to us back in July 2024.

After a meeting with Business Director from Mekong Communication agency, I started to break down this project into smaller tasks for us with a tight and detail timelines what we would do in 72 hours. After that, I started to send over to Mekong team the art direction proposal. Then, after their approval, we began to execute the 3D model of VF8 Lux that we received from Vinfast factory which costed us one day to totally transform it to animation friendly version. We then started to create multiple shots following the approved art directions. Finally, the video editor tried to put all the shots together with music and sound effect.

Director Cut with few improvements

It was the first time Duy and me work with our talented editor, Thien Nguyen, on a 3D animation project. Thanks to his effort with many sleepless nights, we finally crafted our first good one on automotive animation and especially on editing video. 


This work I believe is not the quality that we imagined but for the time that we had, it was a victory of unity.
